I’m an award-winning author, a collaborator on best-sellers, an adaptor of adult non-fiction for children, and a literary researcher based in New York City.
I performed research, editorial planning, editing, adaptations, and writing for many high profile non-fiction best-sellers. Authors I have worked with include Sonia Sotomayor, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, Gavin Newsom, Huma Abedin, Cecile Richards, Abby Wambach, Tom Brokaw, and Jodi Kantor & Megan Twohey.
My work as a collaborator has been reviewed as “lyrical,” “eloquent,” “winning,” “thoughtful," “personal and appealing,” “beautifully written,” and “brilliant.”
Chasing the Truth, my adaptation of She Said, by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey was named to Kirkus's Best of 2021 list. To The Moon, my middle grade adaptation of Jeffrey Kluger's Apollo 8, got a starred review from the School Library Journal and received several awards.
I have written a series of picture and chapter books on American history and civics. Kirkus Reviews called my award-winning What’s the Big Deal About Elections “an empowering choice” and the New York Times called it “a very quick read with a concise narrator.” What's the Big Deal About First Ladies, received a starred review from Kirkus. That book and What's the Big Deal About Freedom were chosen for the International Literacy Association Children’s Choice Award list. The School Library Journal called my latest picture book, Bunny Figures It Out, “a recipe for success.”
My public policy and political experience includes working for three and a half years in the Clinton White House and later leading Hillary Rodham Clinton’s New York Senate office. My professional experience also includes policy development work for the AFL-CIO and writing coaching for the marketing department at IBM. I got my MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and my BA from Bates College, where I graduated cum laude.
